Happy Stamps Gather the following materials: Blocks of sanded scrap wood that are about 3 inches square Eighth inch thick craft foam Permanent markers Scissors Glue Stamp pad Paper What to do: Ask the children: "How did knowing Jesus make a difference in the lives of the people you have been studying?" After the children respond, say: "Today you can make a happy stamp that represents what knowing Jesus means to you." Give the wood block, scissors, and foam to the children. Guide the children to follow these steps: 1. On the foam draw "happy" shapes (sunburst, exclamation mark, etc.) that are small enough to fit on the wood block. 2. Cut the shapes out of the foam and glue them to the children's wood blocks. 3. Using a permanent marker, print a sentence such as "Jesus makes me happy!" or a Bible verse on the blank side of the wooden block. 4. After the glue has dried a few minutes, use your happy stamp with the stamp pad and paper.
